Ambassador program
Join Founding Families. Get early access and be part of the team.
Compound Founding Families is our ambassador program for people who run a household and like to talk about how they do it. You get Compound early, free, with a direct line to the founder. We ask for one thing above all: your honest opinion.
The honesty principle
Good and bad. We never ask you to change your opinion.
Say what you actually think, good and bad. We will never ask you to change an opinion, delete a critical post, or only talk about the good parts. We do expect you to be honest and objective: describe what you really used and what really happened.
What you get
Early, free, and heard
Skip the waitlist
You get in during the private beta: an invite to set up your own household, ahead of everyone waiting.
Free for 6 months
Compound is free during the beta. When paid plans launch, your household's first 6 months are on us.
A direct line to the founder
Message the person who builds Compound. Bugs, ideas and complaints go straight to the one who can fix them.
A say in the roadmap
A private feedback channel and early previews of what's next, so you shape features before they ship.
New features first
Try new spaces and tools before anyone else, and tell us plainly if they aren't good enough yet.
Credit, only if you want it
Opt in and we'll thank you by name on our site. Opt out and we'll never name you.
What we ask
Use it for real. Tell the truth. Disclose.
Use it for real
Run your household on Compound: link an account or two, plan a trip, try the Ask box. Opinions come from real use.
Be honest, good and bad
Talk about what works and what doesn't. Be fair and specific, and describe what actually happened.
Always disclose
Every time you post about Compound, say up front that you get free early access. Every post, every platform.
Tell us things, about monthly
A short note, a bug, a voice memo, a rant. Roughly once a month, whenever it suits you. No quotas.
Protect your family's privacy
Never post real balances, account numbers or another person's data. Blur it, or ask us for sample-data screenshots.
No spam, no fake reviews
No bulk posting, no fake accounts, no reviews that hide the relationship, no pretending to be a neutral stranger.
Disclosure
Say it plainly, every time
Whenever you post about Compound, say plainly, at the start of the post or video, that you're in our ambassador program and get free early access. Don't bury it in a pile of hashtags, a bio link or a 'more' fold, and say it out loud in videos.
Why: the U.S. FTC's Endorsement Guides treat free products as a material connection that has to be disclosed clearly and next to the endorsement. A stand-alone “#ambassador” is too vague.
Example
I'm a Compound ambassador: I get free early access. Here's my honest take, good and bad. #CompoundAmbassador
Example
Disclosure: Compound gives me free early access as part of their ambassador program. They didn't see or approve this review.
Who it's for

- People who run a household's money, whether that's a family of five or a household of one
- Parents juggling kids' sizes, schedules and allowances
- Frequent travelers and points-and-miles people

How selection works
A person reads every application
- 1
You apply
The form below takes about three minutes. Audience size is optional and never the deciding factor.
- 2
The founder reads it
A person, not a filter, reads every application. We look for real use cases and a track record of candor.
- 3
You get an invite
If it's a fit, you get the same single-use invite link every Compound household gets, and your spot is saved.
How this differs
Not your usual ambassador program
We studied about ten ambassador, advocate and referral programs from software companies we admire. The best give members early access and a real line to the team. Few say out loud that criticism is welcome, and paid referral schemes blur the line between a recommendation and a sales pitch. So we kept the good parts and wrote down the rest.
Criticism is welcome, in writing
Many ambassador programs quietly expect you to "represent the brand positively." Ours puts the opposite in its terms: honest negatives are part of the job.
No commissions, no referral codes
Paying per signup turns advocates into salespeople. You get the product and a seat at the table, not a cut.
No follower minimums, no content quotas
A thoughtful post to a parents' group of 40 matters as much as a video to 40,000. We never ask for a number of posts.
We never see your post first
No approvals, no scripts, no talking points. What you publish is yours.
Program terms
The terms, in plain English
Summary of the draft program terms (pending legal review). If anything changes, we'll tell ambassadors before it applies.
- It's a volunteer program. There's no pay, no commission and no employment relationship; the benefit is free access to Compound.
- Free access: Compound is free during the beta, and accepted ambassadors get their household's first 6 months free once paid plans launch.
- Your opinions are yours. We never ask you to change, soften or delete an honest post, and we never review content before you publish. Your benefits never depend on what you say about us.
- Disclose every time: a plain sentence at the start of the post or video ("I'm a Compound ambassador: I get free early access"), plus #CompoundAmbassador if you like. Bio links, "more" folds and hashtag walls don't count.
- Be accurate: talk about what you actually used. No fake reviews, no fake accounts, no spam, no posing as an unaffiliated reviewer.
- Privacy: never share real balances, account numbers or anyone else's personal information in public. Ask us for sample-data screenshots, or blur yours.
- Beta features may be unfinished. You can talk about them; please mention they're in beta.
- You own what you create. Feedback you send us can be used to improve Compound.
- Either side can end it at any time, for any reason except your honest opinion. Your household keeps its data, and you can export or delete it.
- You must be 18 or older. Bank connections currently support U.S. institutions.
FAQ
Questions
Do I have to say nice things?
No. We expect honest and objective, not positive. If something in Compound is bad, say so. We'd rather hear it from you than lose a family quietly.
Will you ask me to take down a critical post?
Never. We may reply publicly, fix the problem, or ask to follow up with you, but we won't ask you to remove or change it, and it won't affect your membership.
Why do I have to disclose free access?
Because your readers deserve to know, and because U.S. law says so. The FTC treats free products as a "material connection" that must be disclosed clearly, right alongside the endorsement. A bare "#ambassador" isn't enough on its own.
How big does my audience need to be?
It doesn't. Audience size is optional on the form. A trusted voice in a small community is exactly who we want.
Is this paid?
No. Ambassadors get free early access now and 6 free months once paid plans launch. There are no commissions or referral fees.
What happens to my application?
Only the founder reads it. We use it to review your application and contact you about it, and never sell or share it. Ask us to delete it at any time.
Can I leave?
Anytime, no questions asked. Just tell us. Your household and its data stay yours.
